About South Platte Press

South Platte Press was established in 1982 by James J. Reisdorff. It is a small press devoted to the publication of railroad-related titles, focusing on the railroads of the Midwest and western United States. To date, it has published more than 40 titles, a number of which are now out of print. The company's offices and the publisher's residence are located in David City, Nebraska, on the south side of the Platte River (hence the name).
